Welcome to the homepage for NIGHT NAV, the Adventure Navigation series of races organised by the Bivouac Outdoor Southerly Storm orienteering team. NIGHT NAV has been running since the turn of the century and has returned for another year!
NIGHT NAV events are normally held in Bottle Lake Forest on the edge of Christchurch. Competitors walk, run or bike through the forest collecting checkpoints, which are shown on the map handed out just before the start. Runners and walkers can cut across the forest, through the sanddunes...while the bikers explore the network of single tracks.
All competitors have an hour to collect as many checkpoints as posible before returning, often in a rush, to the finish. You can compete in teams or individual, its a great social adventure.
